Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is an important and highly addressed sector from the international donor agencies throughout the world. It is well accepted that middle level skilled human resources can be supplied through the TEVT as per the requirement for development process of the country. Similarly, individual with the skill and knowledge for employability is another rational of evolving TEVT as major development agenda of the country. Thus, as educational sub sector, TEVT has been prioritized by the national policy and plan. The objective of the technical and vocational education and training programs are to prepare skilled technicians for the employment market and involve in the production and social development activities. This needs a competent educational institution, capable human resources with adequate physical facilities.

With the objective to addressing the need of skill deficiency in the country, Associates Nepal Synergy (ANS) Pvt. Ltd. was established in 2008 AD with the purpose of providing quality short-term vocational training programs to facilitate the employment of youths especially from the disadvantaged groups of the nation. The company is legally registered at Company Registrar’s Office under Company Registration Act 2006. The company is affiliated with Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) to conduct short-term vocational training programs in 25 different occupations. The company has been managed by a team of qualified and experienced personnel. Since its establishment, the company has conducted various kinds of short-term vocational training in different parts of the country with the support from renowned agencies like EVENT Project of Ministry of Education, SDP Project of CTEVT, UNHCR, Action Aid and Employment Fund of HELVETAS-Nepal. ANS is committed to provide quality skill training and is fully in support and in led with TVET policy of Government of Nepal, 2012.

ANS will be predictable as a prominent Training and Employment Service Provider (T&Esp) delivering with the market and employment oriented vocational skills training for the people living in poverty (PLiP).

The mission of the ANS is to offer better employment opportunities for PLiP and we achieve this by adopting following strategies in our works;

• Conduct need assessment prior to actual training to find the skills person gap in the labour market
• Develop market and employment oriented skills training package and deliver
• training with the competent and zeal technical and non-technical team
• Qualitative training monitoring and support mechanism
• Career counseling and post training support mechanism followed by integration
• of training and skills plus module in regular training package
• Regular post training monitoring and follow up mechanism

Vocational skill to youths does directly contribute on sustainable national development through reduction of unemployment, increased economic activities, improved educational and social order. Hence imparting of appropriate vocational skills to youths is very important for Nepal’s total development.
